Dear Chelsea,

The idea of “Weat It Wednesday” is so absolutely Christ honoring ! I thank GOD for sharing that kind of idea / vision with you.

Be encouraged ! If only one Christian girl in Iowa or Nebraska or New York city wears a Christian Tee on that day, it honors GOD to the higest heaven, recognizes and gives HIM glory and honor and praise even this world understands, and it encourages other not-yet-followers of Jesus to give the question of Christ at least one moment’s thought. Youi will win soiuls for the Kingdom with your ideas. Broadcast the idea broadly. Get on the local news. Pray other stations and networks pick up the story. Design a special Tee. Issue a broad “press release.” Write to every ministry you can. E-mail them with a picture of youir fave brother or sister wearing the special. E-mail youir whole list with the news releasee and picture. This is so exciting !

I pray the Lord bless youi today in a very special way, with His brand of peace and joy and love. He is so thoughtful and so kind and so ready to be your friend all day long. Spend some quiet time alone with Him today, even 15 minutes that you devote to Him in worship will bless Him.

Have a wonderful day today in Christ Jesus !

Chelsea,

I listen to your story today on Dave Ramsey and just wanted to let you know that I was very inspired by your story. I worked in youth ministery for ten years and have seen a lot of youth struggle to find themselves in life. I commend you for your triumph in your trajedy. I am one of our ministers at our church and still have networks of pastors and churches that I still stay in contact with. So if you are ever up in Clarksville, Tn. let me know and I can get you hooked up with a ministery in our church that has a TV station. We could do your story and run it on tv for a week. Let me know!

Thanks,

BLESSINGS ABOUND “Ignite Your Faith” featured a whole page, “YES” a whole page on Faithful Fish. I am so jazzed and people are already emailing me and sending me myspace invites. The writer was just great and she really got me and I am just so happy.

Katie started crying, Paige wouldn’t wear her dress and Aunt Karen had to get a new one and those were just a few of the highlights. I will say that at the end of the drama the girls looked beautiful and their dates were so cute and nice. I loved all of the parents taking pictures. It is at times like this when I miss my Dad. I remember him not being there for my prom, but my mom and Aunt Karen were there.

I called Paige up on Sunday aftermoon and she said she had a great time.

GOOD THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - This one is to stay on subject , let the drama go. Lighten up, if not for you, for others. Your day will be better.
She needs us to be there for her now more than ever.Oh my gosh though,I keep thinking about the big Mega Book event that I will be speaking at in June right in Disney World. What a dream come true, I grew up in Orlando and went to Disney all of the time and now here I am going to be speaking there (who would have thunk “ha, ha”.One of the students at Mill Springs Academy (where I went to high school) asked me to answer a couple of questions for her school paper. It was so cute that she asked me. They were great questions and I am keeping my fingers crossed that she get’s an A. Wouldn’t it be terrible if she failed based on my answers.GOOD THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - I have said this one before, but with my Aunt Patty’s Mom dying I had to say it again. Hug all those that you love, if you haven’t talked to a friend for a while give them a quick call and tell them you were thinking of them. Write a note to an older person, it would make them so happy.God Bless
But remember, God has a plan for all of us. We have to be patient..he will reveal it when he is ready!GOOD NEWS FOR THE DAY: Don’t watch the money channels. It won’t make a difference. Watch I Love Lucy, read a book (from the library) read a couple of passages from your favorite part of the bible. Heck, just read a People magazine.Have a blessed evening.

What a great weekend. As you all know I am a fashion hound and I was blessed on Saturday to meet Tim Gunn from Project Runway! He talked about style and accessories. The VP of Liz Claiborne introduced me to him and we talked about Faithful Fish. He was just as nice as he is in the show and gave me some great advise.Saturday evening we went to dinner at my Aunt Karen’s and planned out our spring break trip. My Uncle Andrew, the intellect in the family, had us visiting every museum around. I finally had to say “Wait a minute, this is not a study abroad program”! We did make him laugh. I told him I wanted to look at design houses and go to the beautiful churches.Service this morning was so thoughtful. My minister talked about what do you build your life around (money, fame, gossip, etc…) It made me think about what I have to work on. My biggest issue is being selfish, I am not selfish in giving or praying for the best for all of my friends, but selfish in always wanting it my way. I’m an only child which I have used as the reason for my behavior, but it is wrong. I am truly going to work on this.

GOOD THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - Think of how you would like to be better and pick one thing that you will make an effort to change. How great will we feel when we all help ourselves become better.Pray for our country.

Now that is the way to start a great day.I worked all day on Faithful Fish, Easter orders are coming in and we actually ran out of hats (bad inventory process). Anyway, the day went so fast.I am working out tonight with a trainer “A girls gotta look good” and then I am going to come home and crash.Good Thought for the Day - How you start your day seems to be how your whole day will be. So, guys before you get out of bed take a moment and thank God for your blessings and then say to yourself “It is going to be A GREAT DAY”. I know it sounds corny, but my Mom started me doing this years ago and it really helps.Have a blessed evening and have a ton of fun.Chelsea

OH MY GOSH!!! What a trip, it was just so overwhelming IN A GOOD WAY.Even though I met amazing people who were authors and inspirational speakers I will have to say the people at Trader Joe’s were the best. Now you might say “WHAT”. Saturday evening we decided to go to the beach for dinner. I went with my Mom , Martina Butler and her Dad. It was about 6:00 and all of a sudden Martina screamed and we were hit broadside by a truck. We were OK, but I had a huge goose egg on my head and had a cut.I was sitting on the side of the road and all of a sudden this young guy shows up with some Trader Joe’s frozen pea’s for my head (so sweet). Then another Trader Joe’s guy shows up with water and juice. The accident was by the store and they came to my rescue. The paramedic’s said I had to go to the hospital in an ambulance so the Trader Joe’s guys gave my Mom snacks for the wait. They were just so nice. I had to have an MRI and a CAT scan, but they let me go. My neck still hurts a bunch and my eye is black, but I am OK (God is good).
I was in LA to speak at Mr. Mark Victor Hansen’s Mega Book event. I was very nervous, but Mr. Hansen really made me feel comfortable. It was just great to be able to share with everyone the story of how my faith helped me through my losses.OK, last summer I was trying to be positive and writing a good thought for the day and I think it is high time for me to start back up.So here we go - everyone is tense and worried about jobs and money so take a moment out turn off the TV and throw on a good tune. Crank up the Ipod and sing on the top of your lungs.God Bless you all.
It has been a busy week (in a good way). I have been getting ready for Cali, going to my speaking coach to help with my speeches, I have been calling stores to see if i can get Faithful Fish in boutiques, helping out with morning breakfast at church for the middle school kids as well as helping FCA put info in their data base, and as well as trying to get over my cold. Going to church tomorrow to be apart of Sisters in Christ. It is where a lot of women speakers come and talk about their walk through Christ. I’m looking forward to hearing their different stories. I know they are going to be inspirational! In the afternoon I’m helping my cousin prom dress shopping.
Guys, thanks for all of the AWESOME messages. Some of them are just so funny and some of them are truly inspirational. I was even sent a message from a 7th grader in LA who did a school report on Faithful Fish. I was just so honored to have this young person think that Faithful Fish was cool enough for a homework assignment.. We have traded messages and I have to say that she is just a great young person.

I need your help though, the national “Dare To Wear Your Faith” “Wear Your Faith Wednesday” needs to have the word spread throughout the country. Please check the site out Daretowearyourfaith.com and register and then send on an email with the link to your friends who are passionate about their faith.

What with all of the bad news going on in our great country we need to have our faith around us all of the time. The great news about faith is that it not only gives you joy and happiness, but it is FREE. Sure, we tithe, but to have something with you to help you in your day 24/7 is about the best money you could spend.

Good Thought For The Day - Today is the start of the week and wouldn’t it be great if you did something nice every day this week. Just a little something, maybe say “Hi” to someone who looks down, bring in a batch of cookies to school or work, clean up the kitchen for your Mom, give an older neighbor a Thanksgiving card. By the end of the week you will have given yourself a gift. You will feel really great about yourself. I am going to take one of the girls in school today to lunch, she is still having a hard time here and I remember being new at school (no fun).

Chow for now

Hi Guys, I am feeling extra sassy today. My ribs are feeling way better and I can go back to the gym to work out. A girl’s gotta keep in shape to stay healthy, weathly and wise (at least that is what someone said).

My poor cousin Mary Hillyer had a car accident. She is fine, but old Betsy (the car) is done, baked and put a fork in it. MH also did some damage to the other car. I didn’t even ask what Aunt Patty said, because I knew she would be very mad at MH. This is her first accident and she is in college, so I thought that she had done very well. I on the other hand had three accidents before I went to college. Two were my fault and one was the other drivers fault. It is the insurance that will bring you to tears after having so many accidents. I know I am that driver that you just want to yell at. I go five miles under the limit have my blinker on way too early. I am still a tad bit spooked.

I read a verse out of the bible last night.

“Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life.” Proverbs 4:25

This one made me think, I have been broken hearted about a few boys and when I look back, I think “WHY”. This verse made such sense to me, think about it. We research getting the best deal on the new designer purse we want, but we don’t do any research on the boy we are about to go out with. I don’t mean a background check or anything (can you imagine!!!)., but before you jump into anything you should know his friends, figure out does he like his family??? BIG ONE

Oh, wait a minute, let’s get back to being sassy, frassy. A little light hearted thought for the day.

Good Thought for The Day - For the girls, go and buy your favorite mags and circle all the new styles you love. Not sure what you buys should do, but going back to the girls. Cut the items out and stick them onto paper, keep them in a book and when you shop you will know exactly what you liked from the mag. You know how it is, you come home from shopping and you have three items, but not one outfit. Then when you go out all you say is “I have nothing to wear”

A frothy, but common sense thought.

God Bless

Guys, I am in the best mood today. The weather is great, I am caught up on my studies and have lost 3lbs. Really it is the losing 3lbs that make the day great “yuck, yuck”. We girls gage how our days will be either by our weight or hair, not a good thing, but it is what it is.

Thanksgiving is almost here and I can’t wait to go home and chill out with family and friends. I have the whole week off which is AWESOME. Since I am on a work/internship next semester in Atlanta, I am going to be taking all my stuff home in my car. I will go back with one suit case, well maybe not one, but three, or four (stop me).

Last week was the anniversary of my Dad’s passing. It was a a quite day, I talked to my Mom a ton and we prayed. It has been four years, to think I was 17, it really seems like it just happened. My Mom told me that he was just a great Dad. Mom lost Nanny four weeks before Dad passed so we both are in the same place. I miss them all, but know that they are in heaven.

Good Thought For The Day - Don’t procrastinate, I say this because I have to get everything packed to go home. My normal way would be to wait until the day before, but I am actually doing some pre-packing. I feel like I am in control. So try out not procrastinating, on a personal note don’t procrastinate on asking that certain girl for a date, or reach out to that friend you have been fighting with.

Hi Guys, what a week. On Sunday, I fell upstairs “Huh, you might say”. Yes, us Southern girls fall upstairs instead of downstairs “Yuck, Yuck”.

I had my hands full and I was going up the stairs when I tripped and all 6ft of me fell down on the concrete stairs. The left side of my rib cage went directly into the stair. I cried like I was a five-year old, I mean I couldn’t catch my breath. My dear friends all came over and made me dinner. For three days I was in pain until finally I tried to get into a doctor here in my tiny college town, but there were no openings. I went to the emergecy room (quite an experience) and I have a fractured rib. I knew I was hurting.

Well I have to say, I did milk it for a couple of days. Had the boys hold my books and all. It was quite delightful.

What a week, a new President and many new House and Senate members. My Mom and I prayed for the country. I know that some folks are sad, it will get better, but more importantly I know everyone who voted really wants our new President to be successful.

Good Thought For The Day - Today is Saturday “COLLEGE FOOTBALL” rages all day “YEAH”. Watch a college game with friends and family. It will get out all of your frustrations when you yell for your team. Hi-Five all those touch-downs.

All that being said, I am on my way to go shopping. I have been really, really good with my budget this semester. It is tough to not buy what I want, but when I do buy something it is something I really want. Everyone is just so depressed about the economy. My Mom and I talked about it and she told me that she thinks it is a good thing “WHAT” yep, a good thing.

Mom gave me one of her old folks stories (she has many) this one is about my grandparents. She told me that they saved up for every piece of furniture they had and paid cash. That was the reason none of their bedroom pieces matched. By the time they had saved up the money the original style was discontinued. By the way, they kept their furniture for 40 years and didn’t change stuff out. She said that maybe this was God helping us understand that material things aren’t that important and that we have lost the gift of wanting something. By that she means we buy everything on charge cards right away so we don’t ever have that feeling of waiting for something and then the pride of being able to buy it.

I thought about our conversation for a couple of days and remembered when we cleaned out both my sets of grandparents house that everything was old (in a good way). I guess it is good that things are slowing down, but I pray for everyone to be able to provide for their family.

Good Thought For The Day - I am going to be totally sassy on this one. Since it is just a great day to be an American wear something red, white and blue. Of course I have a very cute outfit on with a hint of red (told you it would be sassy).

Boy, it has been a couple of days since I blogged. You can always tell when I am up to my eye balls in home work.

On Wednesday, I drove into Orlando to see the Chaplin of the Dallas Cowboy’s. He was just so inspirational, every time I go and see people give their testimony I am always just so in awe of them. I keep praying that I will get better, it is really hard to talk in front of people. I know people say “Oh, the Lord will help”, but I have to say, I think he wants me to really work on this.

Last night I drove with my cousins to see the Christian band Revive playing at the Longwood Baptist Church. They have partnered with the “Dare To Wear Your Faith” campaign. I called my Mom while they were playing and giving testimony. Talk about a great band, they really rock it out. I met one of their wives, and she was so cute and nice.

Good Thought for The Day - When I drove to see the Chaplin of the Cowboys, I got caught in traffic and was about 45 mins late. I was meeting my Aunt and Uncle and was really just wired up. I felt that I couldn’t walk into the Church until I had calmed down. I wanted to be able to take it all in, so I called my Mom and we prayed together over the phone. It was just a little one minute prayer, but it did the trick. My good thought for the day is to say little prayers all through the day, just prayers of thanks. It helps me so much. So as the old song goes “Say a little prayer for me” I think that was a Marvin Gaye song.

Oh My Gosh!!! I forgot to tell you yesterday, remember when my mid-terms were going on and I was just totally stressed out, well I just received my grades and I made a B in History and A’s on my other tests. YEAH, now I will say if I had to take the test again I would probably fail. I just have no memory retention of any sort.

Great news, the Christian band Revive is on the “Dare To Wear Your Faith” website and they have given us a couple of free songs that you guys can download. The songs will be on the site in a week. You can send the link to all of your friends to get the free download “WE LOVE FREE”. They are having a great time being the front band for Third Day.

Good Thought For The Day - Since Fall is here I have been going through my closet, which I am embarrased to say is HUGE, but I am taking all of the stuff I don’t wear to Must Ministries. So when you guys go through your closets give the stuff to your local ministries. It will help, but more importantly you will really feel good about yourself.

Guys, I am going to be volunteering at Girls Inc. This is a great organization who’s main goal is to help girls with their self-esteem and work with them on building businesses and help them work towards going to college. They have asked me to present business cases and idea’s.

Hey, my friend Casey Skinner from the American Model show just sent me an email and he is starting his own production company. He is also working on the fourth season of the Model show, I sent him an email saying that here we are just a couple of kids from Mill Springs Academy who God has blessed.

I know that God does bless those who have been given hardship. My Mom always tells me that hardship is another layer of character. If you have no layers you can’t have empathy or true sympathy. Let me just say this, I have so many layers I must be an onion “Yuck, Yuck” If you don’t laugh you will cry. (just going along with the onion theory)

Blessed are the weak, when you think of that saying - what does it mean to you? If you help someone out not only are you helping that person, but more importantly you are helping yourself and giving yourself layers “like that onion”

Well, way to deep, let’s go to something frothy and fun. I am designing some new tee’s for FCA and they are over the top cute. The boys graphics are rock’in.

Good Thought for the Day - When things are going really bad, you can at any time take a moment out and give it to the Lord. Taking some quite time (5 mns) and just saying a prayer for help or happiness gives you strength.

I have to laugh though, here I am this young college 21 year old and I am just moaning about being tired. I will get into Orlando late in the evening, so I will be staying at the Hyatt in the airport. “Yes” life is good.

I did miss Church this Sunday, but I always have my little devotional with me. So when I am on the plane I will take some time to read that.

Guy’s, I am a huge Beatles fan. My Mom and all her family were born in Liverpool, England which means of course I grew up with the Beatles tunes playing in the background. My one Great Aunt Ann owned a pub in Liverpool. My little pound puppy is called “Penny Lane” after one of their great songs. So as my BIG GIFT for my 21st birthday I was given “Love” tickets for the Cirque DeSoile in Las Vegas, Whoops!!! did I say ”Las Vegas” Yep, I sure did.

I have to say I was a little scared and excited all at the same time. I am meeting my best friend from kindergarden (Genna) and her brother (Georgie Jr) to celebrate both Genna and me turning 21.

Now you might ask yourself “what’s a sweet little southern Christian girl doin’ in Las Vegas”, but that is the beauty of being faithful. We are just regular people who go out and are able to have a ton of fun, but not get trashed. Now that is not to say that Genna and Georgie won’t because they WILL. The good news is that they know not to give me grief about it all. They respect who I am and know that I will still have fun and be a ton of fun.

Good Thought for the Day, accept people for who they are. When you are with your friends try and compliment the things that you love about them. You don’t have to go over board, just say one thing. It will make them feel good.

My Mom went to Fellowship Christian and she shared with me that the testimonies were just over the top. There was only one location in Gainesville, Florida, but there were many, many sites in and around Atlanta, Georgia.

Guys, I finished my mid-terms, I am going into my room and putting on a party dress to go out and have a really nice dinner to celebrate. Now the only question I have to answer is “What shoes should I wear?” and frankly, that totally works for me.

Good Thought for the Day - I will say, easier and easier. I think you all may know that I am a tad bit shy, but lately I have made a real pact with myself to say “Hi” to everyone I walk past. “Yes” some folks think I might be a bit weird, but it is really fun. The only thing I have to do now is get that eye contact down. The reason this is a good thought is that if you say “Hi” to me first I will feel better thus, MY GOOD THOUGHT FOR THE DAY is a little selfish which is why it maybe becoming easier “yuck, yuck”|.

I have a 20 yr.old daughter at college, in S.C. She is getting moved by God to try to broaden faith on campus. She’s also struggling right now with some hardships in her life and that age old question of “why God?”. I am praying your testimony will help her. I’m also praying about the idea God put in my brain to have you speak to her campus. She too, is part of a sorority there and on the tennis team, so has many avenues to work this through. I sent her your information and I am praying that God will lead her to follow through. Angel, Georgia

I read about you in the AJC today and love the fact that you all care like I do and want my children and myself to proudly wear our faith. Perhaps it will open up a discussion and perhaps that way we can be fishers of men. thanks for what you are doing. She went on and on about how wonderful it was that God was using a smart young lady to encourage thousands to wear there faith on campus and in the community.

I acknowledged that we knew you and how you have been supporting us and that your mom was on our local board. So, the word is hit the streets. Well Done! In Him,

I loved your article in the AJC last weekend. I’ve passed it around to several friends. I read
your blog too, and I was so touched by how you said you are a shy person but you have stepped out in such boldness for Christ. I relate to that very much, and I am trying to follow your example! You’ve already learned something valuable that I’m still trying to learn at age 37. Take care, God bless, Erica, Marietta, GA
